Unfortunately, I think I will stop blogging Code GEASS for the time being. I’ve been kinda bored of the series as of late, and I really just don’t have the motivation to blog about it. I may blog some future episodes, if they wow me enough, but for the time don’t expect to see any CG posts.
A rather interesting episode this week. Nunally is officially inaugurated as the Governer of Area 11 and states that she will reenact The Japan Special Zone, which, as viewers of the first season will know, did not end up working so well, due to an unforeseen mishap of sorts.
This big news hits Lelouch hard, and he spends most of the episode in a pretty depressed state, doing things like riding the train over and over again, using his GEASS to screw around with people, and he even goes as far to almost inject himself with some sort of street drug. Rollo eventually manages to snap Lelouch out of his stupor.
Meanwhile, the cargo ship used by the Black Knights is heading out to sea, where it is intercepted by an Imperial fleet, led by Suzaku. He orders the fleet to bombard the ship, and they easily destroy it. However, the BK’s submarine (which was being carried in the cargo ship) escapes into the water. The BK Sub then destroys a massive methane hydrate tank which is located under the water just below the Imperial fleet. This freezes the water around the fleet, effectively immobilizing the fleet. Lelouch then appears as Zero along with Rollo in his Vincent, and declares that the OoTBK will participate in the Japan Special Zone.
An awesome episode this week. Lelouch manages to get out the sticky situation he was left in at the end of last episode (when Suzaku called up Nunally for Lelouch). Rollo shows up and stops Suzaku’s mind long enough for Lelouch to talk to Nunally without Suzaku realizing that he’s regained his memories. Suzaku is also reunited with Lloyd and Cecile as a small group of Briattanian Airships take off from California Base.
The Fleet is intercepted midway by the Black Nights, and one fun fight breaks out. The BK KF’s manage to land on the ships, but are almost systematically taken out by Guilford and his Vincent Command, and by the Lancelot, Mordred and Tristan, who also show up. The Guren also gets a mid-battle upgrade in the form of a flight pack/Gefjun missle launcher, along with a new and improved arm, which can now fire massive radiation blasts. Kallen manages to hold back the three Knights and destroys Guildfords Vincent.
Lelouch also almost manages to take Nunally back, but she is rescued by Suzaku in the Lancelot.
All in all, a very exciting battle. The Guren is defenitly back to being a force to be reckoned with, and with all the KF’s the Empire seems to be fielding lately, thats a good thing.
Yeah, I’m starting to blog this at episode 5, but I just started this blog, so can you blame me?
In all honesty, this was a pretty uneventful episode (save for 1 big thing at the end and a short mecha battle), and one that really screws up the pace for the 2nd season, but there were some funny parts to this episode. One big suprise is that Suzaku is back at school with Lelouch and the others, which of course is not the best thing for Lelcouch, as Suzaku knows that he is Zero. Lelouch, of course, tries to fool Suzaku into thinking he still doesn’t remember anything prior to the Emperor erasing his memories, but you can defenitly tell that Suzaku isn’t really buying it.
The majority of the episode focuses on a festival at the school, and shows all the antics of the main characters. Nothing too exciting there, though early in the episode we are shown the Tristan knightmare frame in action against fellow Britanians (most likely as a demonstration of sorts to show off the power of the Knights of Round and to test the Imperial defenses of Area 11) The Tristan of course, is piloted by one of Suzaku’s fellow knights, Zino, the Knight of 3. We also see Knight of 6 Anya and her KF, the Mordred.
The biggest revelation of course comes at the end, when we learn that Nunnaly is doing just fine, and is in fact the Governor-general of Area 11. This could prove to be both advantageous and troublesome for Lelouch in numerous ways.
Next weeks episode looks to get right back into the action, as the previews shows were gonna get one heck of a battle between the forces of the Black Knights and the Britanians accompanied by the Knights of Round (specifically Zino, Suzaku and Anya). It also looks like the Vincents are going into battle as well, as they seem to have replaced the Gloucester’s.
